Finished my second 21 Day Sugar Detox like it was no big thing. On Tuesday I ate my meals like I was still following it… Until chocolate, because chocolate. But like a smart, and lactose free lady,(like how I patted myself on the back there? hehe), I stuck to dark chocolate, 80% to be exact. Omnomnom.
But seriously, finishing the 21DSD I don’t have sugar cravings anymore. No sugar crashes. Wins all around! How will I go forward from here? Yes, chocolate will happen. But I will tread lightly when it comes to fruit (a.k.a. tree and shrub candy). I have a history of over doing it and so need to be more mindful about my choices.
One of the best things I took away from my second 21 DSD was an even better relationship with food. There’s less of a pull to push boundaries. I eat what I eat and try not to let my disordered ways of doing things crowd my thinking(this will take continual work but that’s okay). No day is perfect but that’s not the goal. And that’s incredibly empowering.
